ICO turns to online privacy

The Information Commissioner’s Office has turned its mind to online privacy.  (Well, there’s only so much time you can focus on memory sticks!)

As we saw yesterday, we’re all doing digital, digital, digital.  So, with more and more services being deliverd online, online privacy is a key issue.

The ICO is currently calling for expressions of interest, in particular around:

– operating a privacy-friendly website

– rights and protections for individuals

– privacy choices and default settings

– cyberspace and territoriality

(Very) brief details are on http://www.ico.gov.uk/about_us/consultations/our_consultations.aspx
